Align Adjust Design Studio, Inc. was founded in March 2023 aiming to produce residences that are comfortable, healthy, and durable for their occupants. Design details tend to emphasize a “high performance” approach.

High-performance architecture refers to the design and construction that prioritize high efficiency, local sustainability, and improved functionality.

This approach focuses on optimizing comfort, energy use, and indoor air quality.

  1. Comfort and Health: Ensuring good indoor air quality, natural lighting, and thermal comfort to promote the well-being of occupants.
  2. Sustainability: Using natural materials, reducing waste, and incorporating renewable energy sources.

As a small practice, founding principal, Martin Kropf, AIA handles all aspects of project design, client interaction and site visits.

As a Certified Passive House Designer (CPHD), a registered architect (California & New York) and active member of the American Institute of Architects, Martin has worked on numerous single family residences as well as commercial and institutional projects over the past 15 years of industry experience.

He received his Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute’s Graduate School of Architecture and Planning, and his Bachelor of Arts from New York University; majoring in Psychology.
His studies in psychology translate into an appreciation of how the human experience exists within the built environment — and how that experience can be enhanced through architecture and design.
